Splish Splash

Dearies,

I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
My sister Annie (Auntie Beep) is coming out from California to play in the sun with Roscoe.
Few things are more magical to me than sister weekends.
I can't wait to watch Auntie Beep, Roscoe, and Bono Baby play in the plastic pool in our backyard.
I might get in there with them.

love love love,
Fritzi Marie

p.s. Today is our friend Lindsey's birthday and we want to wish her the happiest of birthdays.
Lindsey, we adore you.

Shine, Shine, Shine

This song is for all of us.
We are in it.
Happiness is now.
Maybe SoKo will inspire you too.

The Wishing Well

Most of you know that I am a big fan of wish making.
My favorite place to make wishes is at Snow White's wishing well at Disneyland.
Daniel asked me to marry him there.
He asked me after I made my wish (I wished that we could be together always).
Daniel makes so many of my wishes come true.
I never officially wished for a baby but I do feel like having our Baby Roscoe was a wish come true for us.
Today Baby Roscoe is four months old.
In many ways this has been the hardest four months of our marriage but it has also been filled with happy moments.
I had a some time to myself today (while having my teeth cleaned) to think about how happy I am and how much I have to be thankful for.
I feel so lucky to have such an amazing husband, a beautiful son, and a sassy little puppy to take care of.
Today I am thankful.
I am thankful for all that I have in my life.
Horray for wishes and dreams come true.

hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Bag Of Tricks

Dearest Friends,

This print by My Little Buffalo is striking a cord with me today.
I think we are all too hard on ourselves.
I feel like there is so much pressure to keep up lately.
When I feel overwhelmed I like to hum this song to myself.
We all need to come up with a bag of tricks to help us through the moments where we beat ourselves up.
I am always adding little treats (like this print and this song by The Selecter) to my perk me up bag.
My wish for all of us is that we will be able to see how amazing we are.
It is so easy to see the magic in our friends.
I want us to be able to see the magic in ourselves.
Remember, there is a time and a season for everything.
Please don't be too hard on yourself.
When we are beating ourselves up, we are just holding ourselves back.
hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Not A Peep, Baby Asleep

Dearies,

We hope you are having a lovely weekend.
Our little family is busy trying to slow our life down a bit.
Baby Roscoe needs some quiet time so he can sleep.
We have been spending time taking walks around our neighborhood and taking photo's of the pretty flowers in our yard.
We love love love staying at home together.
My favorite thing to do is watch the birdies visit our bird bath.
I should say that my favorite thing to do is watch the birdies flutter about the bird bath while we are cuddled up on the couch together.
I am a big fan of quiet time with my boys.
hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Tid Bits

Dearies,

We have had family in town for the last month.
Everyone went home and now our house is empty.
We always get sad when our visitors leave.
We are so thankful to our parents and my brother Ben for taking the time to come to Alabama to visit us and be part of Roscoe's blessing.
I was also able to spend my first Mother's Day with my Mommy and that made me so happy.
Life will now slow down a bit.
We have a lot of summertime plans and goals to keep us busy.
Here's to a magical summer filled with trips to the local farmers market, enjoying the crepuscular light while sitting on our back porch, treasure hunting, and writing poetry.

hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Annie Bannie Beep Beep

Today is my sister, Annie's birthday.
She once told me that she didn't want to be part of this blog but tonight she told me that since she is now an Auntie she does want to be part of it.
I thought that was pretty cute of her.
So here is my official shout out to my sister (the happy girl in the middle of that cute sibling sandwich above).
Happy Birthday, Annie Bannie Beep Beep.

Baby Roscoe hopes that his Auntie Beep has the best year ever.
He also can't wait for her to come visit so he can show her how big his feeties are getting.
(I could just eat those little feeties up)

Annie,
You are wonderful and filled with magic.
We love you to the moon and back.
Happy Birthday, Baby Sister.

love love,
Daniel, Kitty, Roscoe, and Bono Baby

p.s. We made you a birthday cake and it was yummy.

Slumber Parties and Poetry

Dearies,

Daniel and William just put out the Spring 2012 issue of Town Creek Poetry
I hope you are having a lovely Mother's Day weekend.
I just woke up from my Mother's Day nap with Roscoe and Bono Baby.
My Mommy is in town and we are having a slumber party tonight.
I am well rested and ready to watch romantic comedies and paint my nails.
It has been a magical day.

hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Southern Discoveries

I think my favorite thing about living in the south is that a drive to a friends house can turn into a mini road trip filled with discovery.
I love to imagine what these small towns were like in their heyday.
While I hope we can move back to the west coast someday soon, I will always miss our spontaneous southern road trips.

I hope you make discoveries this weekend.
We found some serious treasure while out on the hunt this morning.
I can't wait to share it with you.

love and hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Happy Mother's Day Weekend

Dearies,

We have had a lovey week filled with treasure hunting, mini road trips, and family time.
My favorite memory of this week would be the meals we have shared on our back porch.
The lightning bugs have arrived in our backyard.
It is magical back there.

I've been thinking about Mother's Day and how this will be my very first "official" Mother's Day.
Being a new mother is so strange and new to me.
I feel so lucky to have Roscoe in my life.
I can't wait to watch him explore and take his own adventures.
I feel like the luckiest Mommy in the world.

Happy Mother's Day Weekend Dear Friends.

I hope you all know that you are amazing and wonderful.
You, as women, change the world with your magic, everyday.

love love,
Fritzi Marie

Snippets

Here are some snippets from our weekend.
It was filled with family, friends, yummy food, and southern charm.
We hope you had a lovely weekend too.

I will be sad when our family leaves but I am ready to start working to get this baby weight off.
One good thing about summertime in Alabama is that you sweat a lot.
I hope that helps me loose some of this weight a little bit faster.
Today I had the best banana pudding ever.
I feel really guilty about it but it happened.

p.s. Daniel made peanut butter chocolate chip cupcakes for Roscoe's party this weekend.
They were divine and worthy of cheating on your diet.

Kisses

Dearies,

We are having so much fun with our family who flew in for Roscoe's special weekend.
Roscoe's blessing day was magical.
He was surrounded by family, friends, and much love.
I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my world to introduce Roscoe to.
He is one lucky lucky boy.

Thank you for being part of my world.
You, my dear friends, make my world a beautiful place.

love love,
Fritzi

Magic and Wonder

Dearies,

I am going to take a break from EVERYTHING this afternoon and do some treasure hunting.
I think it is going to make my heart happy.

"Only the discoverer of Tutankhamen's tomb would know how she felt upon finding this hidden treasure."
-Narrator of Amelie

I am also going to dig out my Amelie soundtrack and have it playing in the background.
I haven't listened to it since I was in labor with Baby Roscoe.
It is such a magical CD.
I want it to be the soundtrack to Roscoe's childhood.

Wishing you a weekend filled with magic and wonder.
love and hugs,
Fritzi Marie

p.s. If you haven't seen Amelie, please do.
I promise it will bring you much happiness.

Update:  We just got back from our treasure hunting adventures and we found lots of hidden treasure.
My heart is happy and ready to have a lovely weekend.
hugs.

Frown Lines

This weekend our Baby Roscoe will be blessed at church.
I am so happy because all of the men (minus one) that Roscoe is named after will be here for this special event.
I am sure my Daddy will be here in spirit.
I was missing him a bit tonight so I looked through some photos of us together.
This photo of me looks a lot like my Baby Roscoe and that makes me happy.
I will admit that I have been a stress ball this week and I regret that.
(My version of a stress ball is not pretty and I have been difficult to be around).
I want to really enjoy this weekend with my family and forget about all the little things.
Wish me luck.

I hope you can forget about the silly little things and enjoy your weekend too.

hugs,
Fritzi Marie

Treasure Hunt Finds

My Daniel recently set me up with a new phone.
I have been having fun with the camera applications.
We have been doing a lot of treasure hunting lately.
We have big plans for our vintage shop, Fritzi Marie Vintage, this summer.
I managed to take a few quick photo's of some of our finds while Roscoe was napping this afternoon.
I broke our lamp last week (so sad) and then we found this adorable snail lamp for our living room.
I like this lamp even more than the one I broke so it must have been meant to be.

This sweet little deer has been sitting pretty in our living room for the spring time festivities.

I had to bring this little lollipop holder home with me.
I imagine that it was in a doctors office or pharmacy at one time.
The lettering reminds me of Disneyland.

I've been collecting vintage photo's of baby boys for Roscoe's nursery.

This is a photo of my Dad CJ as a young lad.
These teacups are a recent find and I found the large mason jar at The Doo Nanny
It was covered in mud so I picked it up for next to nothing.

Kittens.

I love the circus so this little seal brightened my day.
He looks so fancy now that he is all polished up.

Finding little pretties while out treasure hunting with my boys makes me so happy.

love and hugs,
Fritzi Marie
