Alabama Afternoons

Last week we went on a little field trip to our friend Butch's garden.

We picked sweat peas and strawberries.

We even came home with garlic.

Walking around his garden took me back in time.
I felt like I was 6 years old again walking around my Grandparents' garden.

We have been enjoying fresh vegetables all weekend.

I hope to one day have a garden just like my friend's.
It will be overflowing with strawberries.

Horray for friends who are amazing examples, fieldtrips, and Alabama afternoons.

Lauren is SO excited to plant strawberries. I hope she grows up having memories of eating them straight from the plant like I did in my grandma's backyard growing up! MMM!

YAY!!!! Awesome! Those pictures are like candy to me. Thank you - everything looks so great. I knew that Butch guy was cool. PS I noticed the bowl the garden produce was in and loved it and so glad its in your use and care. My dearest girl.
