Even in a time of elephantine vanity and greed, one never has to look far to see the campfires of gentle people. ~Garrison Keillor

Our weekend of camping in The Great Smoky Mountains was magical.
Bono Baby is a great little camper and he sure did keep me warm in my sleeping bag.

Bono saw turkey, deer, a haron, and a black bear.

He sat by the campfire and we talked about all of the places he has been.
He has become quite the well traveled little puppy.

He picked out the best picnic spot ever.
In the middle of a sunny field in Cades Cove.

We ate some of our favorite foods because that is what you do on a picnic.

Bono ate some of Dan's potted meat.

We took a little nap in the sunshine.

Bono kept watch.

It was one of our best weekends ever.

If you ever get a chance to go to The Smoky Mountains, go.
Pack up your favorite foods, put on your hiking boots, make your reservations at Elkmont, get out your Dolly Cd's, and make sure to wake up early to drive through the cove in the early morning (it is beautiful and you will see lots of wildlife).

We can't wait to go again in the springtime.

love love,
Fritzi, Daniel, and Bono B.

You know I am NOT a camper - but that looks amazing. Bono took to camping like a fish to water it looks like. What gorgeous pictures and an amazing trip! I am jealous!
