Flea Market Finds

This weekend Dan and I went to The Possum Trot Auction and we left with this telephone table.
I've wanted one for a long time.
My Grandma had one at her farmhouse in Missouri.
I remember her sitting at it, listening in on the party line.
She was so cute.
We are thinking about refinishing it.
But for now we are letting it settle in and make it's new home in our kitchen.
Bono Baby likes to sit there and watch Dan cook.

love love,

p.s. Did you find anything exciting this weekend?

what a find and how lovely it reminds you of your Grandma!

I found a camera pencil sharpener :) I was far too excited considering how small it was!

we never had one when i was a kid because my folks never got a phone until i left home and they got it to keep in contact with me ... but they're definitely part of the nostalgia i have from growing up in the 1960s and 70s and yours is so sweet.

Ah, I want a telephone table too but we're already overflowing with furniture to revive. I keep coveting them at op shops so it's only a matter of time.

I like the idea of letting the furniture settle in and then making a decision about what to do with it. Looking forward to hearing more Telephone Table Adventures!
