Coming Out To Play

My treasures have been jumping out of their packages and making themselves at home here in Alabama.
Dear Amanda's print, The Demise of the First Poet I Ever Fell Pray To, is sitting pretty in our living room.
Amanda is one of the sweetest, most talented ladies I know.
She has an amazing shop, Amanda Atkins in a Canary Forest, and I adore everything she does.
Every time I look at this pretty lady on our living wall I think of her.
I also think of my Dear Daniel who always humors me when I gift him treasure for our home (that I fall in love with).
I gave him this print for Valentines Day, I think.

The beautiful Marjorie sent me this little duo for my birthday.
A gift that touched me so.
You see, I blogged about wanting to re-do my wedding for our ten year anniversary.
We didn't have a wedding cake because we chose to have cheesecake instead.
Cheesecake because we thought we were too cool for the wedding cake.
I regret that.
This little bunny couple will sit atop our 10 year anniversary sha-bang cake.
I adore them almost as much as I adore Marjorie

My favorite thing about my home is that it is full of items that mean so much to me.
It makes me feel like my friends and family are right here with me.
Is that strange?
love love,

They are so cute! Jas and I eloped to Vegas. We didnt have the wedding or the cake. I sometimes regret not having the cake. Our 10 year is next year and I cannot wait to get a real wedding cake!

I had a lot of people tell me that I shouldn't spend so much money on my cake. But I LOVE cake. So I did. I have never regretted that for a second. I do regret my dress and my crappy photographer.

Your cheesecake was yum...but I get it. Hindsight is 20/20.

Oh gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has regrets about her wedding. I loved it and everyone was so generous, but I ended up with roses for my bouquet and I don't like roses (not really, anyway) and so it makes me sad I didn't fight a bit for something else, and for a photographer I really loved. I love the idea of a do-over. 8 years away for me!

I'm so glad you like the bunnies. I was holding on to them for you for way too long, they wanted to be with you and Dan where they belong. Can't wait to see them on your anniversary cake!
