There's No Such Thing As The Next Best Thing To Love

The sun is "officially" out here in Seattle.
It's eighty degree's and I couldn't be happier about it.
Yesterday, I watched Gidget.
I love Gidget.
My parents bought it for me on laser-disk when I was in middle school and it makes me happy.
If we ever move back to California, I'm going to learn how to surf.
I'm going to wear shorts and not worry about how I look in them.
I want to relive the days of my youth and have a bonfire at the beach.
Do movies do this to you?
Do they take you back to a special time in your life?  .

Okay, I'm off to enjoy the sunshine.
love love,
Fritzi

Oh, I love Gidget. :) Movies definitely take me back, that's part of why I love them. They bring back the emotions and memories from your life. So fun. LOVE this sunshine. Beach days start on Wednesday...this year we are at the State Park (the 1st beach) if you want to come join us!

Love, Carrie

Gidget!! What a great movie.
Movies definitely take me back to a place in my life. When I was 13, my Grampa bought me "Never Been Kissed" and I would watch it every day after school. Then in ninth grade, I became obsessed with Little Women (and fell in love with Christian Bale) and would watch it - again - every day after school, this time in the finished basement, and I would practice guitar and write songs about unrequited love. haha. Both of those movies still make me happy. :)

Amanda,

That is so funny because both of your movies have been big movies for me as well. Dan and I watch Little Women every Christmas. I have a thing for Gabriel Byrne. He's on my sin list.

Some of the scenes from Never Been Kissed were filmed in my hometown, Monrovia, CA. I used to watch that movie over and over. I love Drew Barrymore.

You are just too cute. I adore you.

love love,
Fritzi
