Sunday Adventure Drive

This is my dress that I found at a Mississippi flea market for a steal. It came with the sweetest story. The lady who sold it to me said that it was made for her Mother for her wedding anniversary.

I love the shiny, floral fabric.

I'm starting to feel a little bit more Kitty like.

Bono Baby

We have been busy adjusting to our new life. I've been trying to rest up and feel 100% again.
Bono has been my best little buddy.
He takes us on walks and impromptu hikes.
I think he loves his new little vacation get-away home.
He has been so busy and I'm sure he is tired out.
I hope to get back to my normal blogging self this week.
I miss you all so much.

It's OVER!

We made it to Washington, finally.
I hope to be in better spirits tomorrow.
I am so happy to be done with living on the road in a Penske truck.
I'm scared about starting over but I'm working on being strong.
Here's to new beginnings.
p.s. Thank you to everyone who helped us on our way.

Happy Memorial Day

Sending a big shout out to all the brave people who serve or have served our country.
My Daddy used to call this "his" day off.
Dad CJ has been counting all the flags people have up.
Thank you for everything that you do for us.
hugs
p.s. We're about to hit the road again.

Pit Stop

We made it to my hometown (Monrovia, CA) for a lovely weekend pit stop.
I plan to do very little.
We are relaxing with Baby Bono.
Have I mentioned that he is the cutest puppy I know.
I miss you all.
hugs

Armadillo

Greetings from New Mexico.
We are safe and happy for the most part.
Thank goodness my parents are driving my Cammy behind the moving truck (which is hauling Dan's truck). We have been quite the team of four.
There have been a few setbacks.
We locked the keys in the truck on the Texas/New Mexico border.
Dad CJ sprained his wrist in Oklahoma.
We've seen way too many dead armadillo's.
Why can't I see a cute little armadillo who is still living?

Stick Shifts And Safety Belts.
Bucket Seats Have All Got To Go.

We are lounging in a motel in Oklahoma. Thank goodness we are out of the truck.
We have been on the move but we have had some fun too.
Dan and I played with our cousin's dune buggy on the farm in Missouri.
We picked up some furniture for my Mommy and visited with family.
We went to Lambert's for throwed rolls.
But now, we're down to business.
We don't have time to piddle paddle.
The truck is making a pit stop in California and we hope to take a little break there.
Then we're off to our new home.
We Miss You All So Very Much.

I'm signing off.
We're about to head out into the great, wide open.

Mississippi Friends, you will be dearly missed.
We love you.

p.s. Wish us luck. I'll try to keep you up to date if you promise not to make fun of my traveling attire. Do you promise?

Happy Birthday Annie Bannie Beep Beep

My little sister Annie is having a birthday today.
This is Annie on her first birthday. Benner and I were waiting for her to blow out her candle so we could get to the cake.

This is another birthday on Grandma and Grandpa's farm in Missouri.
I think Annie already got to the cake.

Grandpa loved his little Annie Bear.

Happy Birthday Dear Annie.
You are the prettiest of the pretty.
I love you.
love,
Kitty

I love this Man

Dad CJ cracked me up in Sam's Club today.
He made so many friends.
With a beep beep here and a beep beep there.
I love you Dad CJ.
My Southern Tutors

My first job here in Mississippi was at Cellular South. My position was called Customer Flow. Dan thought that was so funny. I was the greeter. I didn't really like my job but I loved the people I met there. They taught me all about the South. Dear Alfred, saved me from many angry customers and became one of my dearest friends. He appreciated me and I am so thankful for the time I had with him.

Dear Sarah always included me. She and I became good friends. She was the kind of friend who would cover for me when I needed a potty break. She was always there to watch my back.
I love this girl. She is amazing.

Rod, dear Rod. He is a man with a plan. He is going to go far. This dear man sang a song to me on my last day of work. I will never forget that.

Pretty Leigh Ann is so PRETTY. She is a newlywed. This young lady is the kind of lady you want to have as a best friend. She is FUN.
I love you Leigh Ann. I will never forget your New York stories.

And Michael, my official Southern tutor. This lovely man was my side-kick/boss. He is one of those Southern gentlemen who can tell stories that you will never forget. He came in one day telling us about how he fought a snake in his carport, I think the snake won.
Thank you Dear Cellular South Friends, I will never forget you.
love, love, love

Shrimp-N-Grits and Bear Cuddles

We took a break from packing and went to Shrimp-N-Grit Wednesday at The Pastry Garden.
I like to act like I'm not going anywhere because that makes it easier for me.
Really, I am super sad about leaving my little Hinton family. So sad that I plan to avoid as much confrontation as possible. I love them too much.

Will and Michelle are adorable. They have been amazing friends to us. We are so sad about leaving them. I've considered moving in with them and living with their puppy Poppy.

Pretty Michelle and I are PRETTY.

Jim is Jim.
I don't talk about him because it makes me sad.

Mommy and Dad CJ really liked their shrimp-n-grits.

Jeff and Daniel are silly. We are always entertained.

Linda is so wonderful and nice. She is wearing my favorite apron. I think she looks lovely.

And my dear customer gave me a special goodbye.
I will miss them so much.

Cranky Kitty

I feel like we are attempting to move our "house" like this old house was moved.
It's really not as bad as I think it is. I'm being dramatic. But, I'm ready to get on the road and get out of the mess of boxes our pretty little home has become.
Dan has a cold.
I'm cranky.
I feel bad for anyone who is around me.
I'm behind on my email correspondence.
Oh, dear friends, forgive me.
love, love, love

I'm On Pins And Needles

I am so anxious to see Audrey Tautou play Coco Chanel in Coco Avant Chanel.
Check it out here.

In the meantime, I'm in love with the new ad campaign for Chanel No. 5. It is beautiful and features Audrey Tautou and is directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

I could watch it over and over.
That is, if I weren't supposed to be packing right now.
Check it out here.

Happy Netflix

We watched Les choristes "The Chorus" and you should too.
I promise you'll like it.
hugs

"She knew that there could be a spell put in trees, and she was familiar from the time she was born with the way bottle trees kept evil spirits from coming into the house -- by luring them inside the colored bottles, where they cannot get out again."---Livvie by Eudora Welty
When I grow up and settle down, I'm going to have a bottle tree.
Just wait.
Every time I look at it, I will think of my dear Mississippi.
Happy Thoughts and Wishes Requested

We have 4 days to pack up our little dollhouse.
I'm sad, overwhelmed, anxious, and worried.
I need all the wishes and happy thoughts you can spare.
I think it will help.
love you,
Overwhelmed Packing Kitty
I Think It Is Time To Leave

The goodbye's keep happening and it is making me oh, so sad.
We had our goodbye meal with dear Richard and Tory.

I wish we had more time. I wish things had been more relaxed when school was in session and we could have spent more time together.

Richard and Tory are amazing.
I truly feel like they are on our list of life long friends.
That makes me happy.
p.s. I'm not happy with my outfit choice. I'm just saying.
Our Final Sunday Afternoon Adventure Drive In Mississippi

Dan's parents gave me a Southern Miss t-shirt. I've been so happy and proud of my Daniel and I've been wearing it all weekend. I think it will be a treasure.
Thank you Mom and Dad.

We were driving on Highway 49 and noticed that Shady Acres was closed for Mother's Day. This made it the perfect time to get some photo's of one of our favorite places.

We love to go here and escape things.
Dan gets Dan things and I get tomato sandwiches.
We will miss it.

Mommy and Dad CJ are my arm candy.

I think my Mommy had a lovely Mother's Day. All of her little chick-a-dee's called her. We rented Benjamin Button for her to watch.
I think she was a happy two-legged Mommy.

Sadly, Dan's parents had to leave on Sunday morning so they missed out on the adventure.
They were in the air flying back to Washington.
We missed them.
Family Fun Time Saturday

We had one day together with no obligations. We went to breakfast at The Pastry Garden.

We stopped in at the train depot. On Train Day.
So, we celebrated.

Dad CJ, caught striking a pose.

We looked at the trains.

We were super excited because they gave us free canvas bags and goodies.
Celebrating is FUN.

Dan's Dad found this brick. We think it was someones puppy.
I LOVE the name Roscoe and hope to be able to give it to someone one day.
Uncle Jack just told us that he named one of his beloved billy goats Roscoe.
HOW CUTE.
