Summer Round Up Party Drink
(Soft Ice Cream)

My dear sister-in-law found this Dole Whip recipe that "takes me back to the Tiki Room when I eat's like a free trip to Disneyland."

-2 Cups Pineapple Juice
-1.5 Cups Whipping Cream (you can make half of this milk if you want to cut back on the fat and calories. I've done it both ways and I haven't noticed a big difference.)
-1 Cup Sugar
-1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla

Dissolve sugar in pineapple juice.
Then mix in cream and vanilla.
Pour into ice cream maker.
(Ours is usually done in 25 minutes.)

Thank you Katherine
See you all in the Tiki Tiki Tiki Room.
p.s. Add a wedge of pineapple and a paper umbrella for kicks.
I think the special details make everything better.

I love the pictures. I hope they never change the Tiki Room. It's such a Disney classic. I feel like I usually go to the Tiki Room when I'm really hot and tired. I love that they let you eat in there. This makes the Dole Whip taste even better.
Just so there's no confusion. Dole Whip does sound like a drink(that would be yummy), but it's actually soft ice cream. Just don't want anyone to be too disappointed. We just made it on Sunday---again. We love it.:)

This has nothing to do with anything but I found the link on the church's blog today and it made me think of you. Just thought I would let you know I thought of you :) - Jessilee

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It's all about my ward in Mississippi. It made me want to cry. I knew that Bishop Silas had been called be be bishop but I didn't realize the significance of it. He is one of the most amazing men I met in Mississippi. He just sent 2 of his children out on missions this summer. Anyway, thank you. This made my heart happy.

Oh this sounds so good! You should add this to the recipe blog.I'm buying ingredients soon. Do I need to add ice and salt to the ice cream maker like I would making ice cream?
