Leave your diet on that nail by the door.
-Mr. D

Our friend Alton told us about Mr. Arthur Davis and his Old Country Store Restaurant.

We have been looking forward to patronizing it for a long time now. Dan wanted to try Mr. D's famous fried chicken and I wanted to meet him. I'm not a fan of fried chicken.

I will say this, I am a fan of Mr. Davis. My visit the The Old Country Store is up there with my top 5 Mississippi memories. I love him. He sings the blues, makes you feel at home and is one of the nicest men I've met in the South.

Isn't he handsome? I love that he is wearing a Piggly Wiggly apron and a shirt and tie.

He even signed this for us (unsolicited) and I will treasure it forever.

If you are ever in Lorman, Mississippi you MUST go to Mr. D's Old Country Store Restaurant. He'll treat you like family and fill you up with some good ol' country cookin'.
p.s. There were lots of things to eat besides fried chicken and they were really good.
