Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig

We made it home to California last week. I must tell you that our first week here has been uneventful. Dan finished his paper and I spent DAYS on my Mom's couch with an awful cold. Thankfully, Bono-Baby chilled with me. I think I am finally coming out of it.
Our trip here went well. It was a long day. Mommy and Dad CJ were rear ended on there way to pick us up from LAX so that made our day of travel longer and more stressful. Thankfully they were at the front of the pileup and they are okay.

We made it to Monrovia and Dan got his In-N-Out Animal Style Burger as soon as we got to town.

Here I am with Mommy before the awful cold set in.

CJ put his flag out for Pearl Harbor Day. CJ is the man.

My Dad planted this tree a few years before he passed away. It has grown so much. I love that it is in front of his workshop/garage.

We took a drive around town and went up to Hidden Valley to check out number 10. We saw 16 deer on the way.

This is my Grandfather's old house.

I had to drive by Clifton. Clifton Middle School was my favorite time in school. My GLORY DAYS. I had the most fun there. I also had a lot of fun substitute teaching there.

Monrovia High School is a beautiful school but I didn't have the most fun there.
They had a football game there last weekend and I looked out the kitchen window to see all of the lights. We noticed the M on the mountain was lit up, so they must have won their game. Go Wildcats.

We went to some yard sales and I spotted these adorable teacup planters at a house on Mrytle. I'm on the hunt for them. I think they are adorable and I need them to keep my gnomes company in my future yard.
I've missed all of you. I have big plans to get dressed tomorrow. I've been in my pj's for days. I guess there is no better place to get sick. I can look a wreck at home. No one will see me for days and days. I love that my house is like a hideaway. I've been hiding out for sure. OH, but I did get caught in my pj's by Bro. Heslop earlier today. I shouldn't have gone out in the backyard with Bono.
love you

I called today and Dan told me your were sick. I'm glad you could be sick at home at least. Loved seeing the pictures of Monrovia. I've only been there a couple times, but love it.

Hey Kat,
It was good to see pictures of home. I wish I could hideout with you for a couple days. Just hang out with the girls like old times. I think I have too many other responsibilities (5 kids + Jayson) to ever consider it. Miss ya! Glad you can be home enjoying California. Are you going to visit Washington this trip?

Honestly I have been looking forward to hearing about your trip. I'm sorry to hear you haven't felt well.

It was fun seeing photos of home. Oh the Glory Days of middle school. The best times ever! I agree High School... not so great. I'm so glad that part of my life is over.

I can't wait to be there for Christmas. Shhh... it's a surprise for Kevin's parents. We just got the tickets a couple of weeks ago. I'll call you to see when I can come visit. I miss you.

I have an edit for this post that I think you forgot on accident:
"My Dad (and Buffy)planted this tree a few years before he passed away. It has grown so much. I love that it is in front of his workshop/garage."
You have to remember all that time I spend digging in the garden as a child! Good times. I like seeing all the pictures of Monrovia. I can't wait to see you. Thank you for talking to me today. I am glad you are "one the mend".
