SORRY...
I know I've talked way too much about my birthday, I'm sorry. It isn't out of my system yet.
I wanted to share the gift Sarah and Jeannine sent me. I was so surprised. I've been dreaming about collecting prints from The Black Apple for a long time. I just LOVE them. I didn't mention it to anyone but Dan until last week when I posted about the free bookplate downloads Emily made available at Craft Sanity. Then my birthday present came from Jeannine and Sarah-friend. They bought me one without knowing that I wanted one. It made me so happy. Why? Because, my friends know me so well that they can predict what I like. I felt some birthday love for sure.
I want to talk about the frame I chose to put my print in. I first went to Hobby Lobby and came home empty handed. I can't stand that so many frames are plastic-y and not paintable. They suck. Anyhow, this frame is from my Grandma and Grandpa McLard's farm. I had my favorite Matisse painting from The Norton Simon Museum in it before. I think it is the perfect home for my new little friend. The birdie is from my Mommy. She found it at an estate sale a few years ago and I've been waiting to find it a proper home.
Thank you for thinking of me, dear Jeannine and Sarah-friend.

Did you go buy Penelope, yet?

Sure did Sister-Girl. Did you get your copy? I'm off to watch mine right now. I'm going to do some projects and have it on in the background. Hope you're having a Happy Tuesday.

I too have love the prints at theblackapple for some time and would love to have a collection of them. I'm kind of impressed by my own gift giving skills but I knew that one of those prints would be the perfect gift for you. I had a really hard time just selecting one but Jeannine I thought this one reminded us the most of you.
I'm happy to start your collection and hope you get many more prints to add to the one I gave you. Have fun watching Penelope and I will have to check the movie out sometime soon.

The frame looks really great. I love the bird. I remember playing with that frame when I was little. It had a picture of a blonde girl in it. What happened to that picture?

Buffy,
The blondie is still in the frame. It's one of those old photos on glass. Pretty Cool. Maybe I should give you the photo and I'll keep the frame. What do you think?

I'm glad you like the picture. The artist who draws them kind of reminds me of you. She used to do a blog where she would talk about clothes that she wore or liked. She got too busy to keep up with it though so she is no longer doing it. You can look up her old post if you want to. The site is http://www.theblackapple.typepad.com/somegirlswander/

p.s. Did Devon love his little surprize package?

He was so excited. He loves anything that has to do with Disneyland. He is away at camp this week. He doesn't get back till Saturday. With Jayson working mega overtime and Devon gone, it gets pretty lonley. Plus Warren is being super naught because he misses everyone too.
