HAPPY MAIL DAY
-from Julie

I didn't even know that these photo's existed so I was so excited to get them in the mail. They are from the Monrovia Ward Roadshow in 1988 (I think I was in the 7th grade). How do you like my Leg O Mutton sleeves? I think the hot pink suits me? I remember going to Sister Heslop's house (my next door neighbor and adopted Grandma) for fittings for this dress. It was a BIG deal.
"I've got spurs that jingle jangle jingle."
And these photos. WOW. I know you can't really tell who I am but do you see the hot pink fringed costumes? Classic. My friends Heather, Cindy and I took a baton class. I remember we were in the Monrovia Day Parade. I was a brave girl. Annie must have been our banner girl. She looks so cute.

This photo is my favorite and most treasured out of the bunch. It's a photo of Julie when she was a youth. She's the cutie with the overalls and long ponytails. And some of you may also notice that Rick Bird is in the photo. Classic.

Thank you Julie, I'm loving this.

Julie is so cute......just like I remember......except I didn't get to know her until several years after this picture was taken. Rick is cute, too. Love, Mommy

Ahhh- roadshows. Gotta love those memories of them and wish that people didn't take so many pictures!

I remember that. Those costumes were serious stuff! When I was little I used to play dress up in that funny pink bathing suit with the finge. It was pretty wonderful. Then, I would pretend I was you and twirl your baton. I remember going to a parade you did too.
