HUBFEST 2008
The flowers are blooming this week. It seems like all the pretty spring flowers are here for a week or so and then they all go away when the humidity/heat sets in.
Dan and I have had a busy day. The Young Men and Young women at church had a pancake breakfast fundraiser for Girls Camp and young men stuff. Dan helped with the grits and I made orange juice and washed dishes.
Then, we went to Hubfest in Downtown Hattiesburg. It was kind of like Monrovia Days or Salmon Days in Issaquah. It was a good time.

Dan and I were super full from breakfast when we got there.

We saw this band from New Orleans. There name was Dr. Michael White and his Jazz quartet. They were Classy.

Here we are being cute.
Daniel bought me a rainbow Popsicle from Bootsy the ice cream man. Bootsy was super nice.
Then we saw the Zydepunks from New Orleans. They were really cool. I hope to see them play a real show one day. Well, one that isn't outside in the middle of the day with children running around.

Dan and I had a great date day. I feel like I saw Hattiesburg in a whole new way. I just wish the humidity/heat would stay away for a while longer so the flowers would stay pretty.

Fun day it was! I wanted to thank you and Dan (who didn't even have to be there, what a good guy!) for all your help with the breakfast. I think it turned out quite well! I think it was your apron, it set the whole tone of the morning! :)

This looks like a great day to be in Hattiesburg! It sounded good on the phone, too!
