Anna, Victor and Baby Karolina came over for Christmas dinner. I think it was the first time Karolina went out on the town. She was a perfect little doll. Dan made his Rosemarie, Lemon zest creme sauce over linguine. I made my grapefruit, red onion spinach salad with Champagne dressing. My cousins Jaya and Chris got me hooked on that salad dressing. When Jaya was litte she would only eat her salad with Champagne dressing on it. She is going to be a movie star.

That dinner sounds so yummy. Post the recipes if they are not a secret. Loving the photos. Keep them coming.

Oh, I'll post them for sure. I think you'll really like Dan's pasta recipe. It is so good. I got it from a Domino magazine. The article also had a recipe for Meyer lemon cake that took forever to make but was so worth it.

Dan's Domino Pasta

ZESTY TAGLIARINI

Cook a pound of tagliarini or fettucine until al dente, and while that's going, simmer two cups of heavy cream in a big skillet. When cream is reduced by about one third, throw in the zest of two lemons, and a couple tablespoons of chopped fresh rosemary leaves. Cook a few more minutes, then transfter drained pasta to the skillet and toss with the sause. Add salt, lots of fresh ground pepper and plenty of pecorino romano, and serve.

Kats Domino Salad

RUSTIC CITRUS SALAD

Toss a couple handfuls of arugula with a dressing made of champagne vinegar and olive oil (or, for extra flavor, hazelnut oil) Then, on top, arrange avacado and grapefruit sections (membrane removed), plus a few slices of red onion. It's nice to keep grapefruit sections big, but it's fine if they break. Another fun option: Marinate the onions first, in a few drops of vinegar and a squeeze of grapefruit juice, for about five minutes.

I substitute this dressing with Girards Champagne dressing.

I lent out my copy of this magazine and they threw it away! I am so thankful that you posted the recipe for the ZESTY TAGLIARINI because I searched all over the internet and I couldn't find it. Thank you! I love this pasta.
